So this morning as I was waiting for Alicia to wake up, I decided to work on one of my sketches a little more. I added a little more color, and still have a lot more planned to go. You can view the first draft of this in a previous entry, but here’s the second draft:
Not bad for trying to return to drawing after being on hiatus for five years, eh?
I have also added a few other works onto my site that some of you may or may not have already seen:
A few Five Finger Death Punch shots in Photography > Concert.
A new MySpace layout for Tony Hawk’s current tour in Design > Websites.
A basic MySpace layout for SellOut Marketing [...]

So I know I have been saying this for quite some time now– that I want to get back into drawing and painting, but just recently, I have set out the time to take the necessary actions in actually doing so.
I dug up a bunch of old art supplies I had laying around, as well as buy some new ones, and started working on sketches. I figure I will start with sketching from others’ work first again just to try to get myself back into the groove of things:
(This is a sketch I did the other day of Sam Keith’s The Maxx. Yes, I do realize I made a few mistakes, but as I said, I’m just practicing to get [...]

The Summer X-Games have officially begun!
My roommate (Angie), our buddy Alex, and I rolled out to the Oakley/New Era kick-off party tonight at the Key Club– with performance by T-Pain and L’il Jon dj’ing…. and… we stayed for neither, haha. We checked out the party for a bit, whoever dj’d first was phenomenal, got bored, didn’t want to wait any longer for T-Pain, then bailed. I know, I know, but honestly, I’ve had art on my mind all day and I was itching to get back home.
Tomorrow night should be more eventful, though. MAXIM.
Anyway, for those attending X-Games 14, please go watch and support Corey Bohan and Dave Dillewaard for BMX Freestyle!
With that being said, [...]

I seem to be having a vampire theme going on today.
One of my good friends recently filmed a couple of commercials for a Comedy Central show, “Root of All Evil” with Lewis Black. You can view them below. My friend plays Nosferatu:
To go along with my theme today, I have created a new poll:

Soooo… we just went through a 5.8 earthquake that not only hit Los Angeles, but San Diego and part of Las Vegas, as well.
Hello, scary (but obviously I am okay if I am sitting here blogging about it).
On a uh… much brighter note… The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe officially releases in stores today. On the bonus features of the DVD, you can find G Tom Mac’s (with Gerard McMann, the original singer/songwriter of the first movie’s theme song) video for “Cry Little Sister (Cave Club Mix)” that yours truly has a tiny little appearance in.
Also, for those in the Los Angeles area, the [G Tom Mac] boys will be having their video and album release party on August 12th [...]

A lot of you have asked me to write a review of the premiere I attended while at this year’s Comic-Con. This is for you…
It’s no secret that The Lost Boys is one of my all-time favorite movies. I remember the first time I saw it when I was young and immediately falling in love with everything about the movie– from the characters, to the storyline, to the cheesy humor, to the music. I grew up on this flick.
I remember when a sequel was first made for The Crow. At first word, I was stoked. After seeing it in theatres, although I thought it was “just alright,” I was upset when they made parts 3 and 4 in attempts to [...]

Angie and I knew what to expect for the Heroes panel: absolute craziness.
We woke up extremely early in the morning to grab some coffee and a light breakfast, and head over two and a half hours before the panel was to begin… and already, the line was almost completely wrapped around the convention center for people wanting to be in Hall H (where the Heroes, LOST, Terminator: Salvation, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emporer and Death Race, Underworld, Quarantine, and Pineapple Express panels were all in)! We hopped in line and sat ourselves on the concrete, waiting for doors to open and waiting on our friend Andy.
At least the weather was perfect with a nice breeze, so honestly, the [...]

After learning from the first day, we had cut down how many panels to go to. Our original plans were just impossible. We decide we were just going to make the Prison Break panel… but realize that right before it, in the same room, was the 24 panel. We figured we might as well go for that, then stay for the next.
So I admit, I still have to catch up on Prison Break season 3… but after getting to see the premiere episode for season 4, I must say… I have my faith and curiosities for this show back! I would write more… but I don’t want to spoil anything for everyone.
Before we had started to wait in line for [...]
