After learning from the first day, we had cut down how many panels to go to. Our original plans were just impossible. We decide we were just going to make the Prison Break panel… but realize that right before it, in the same room, was the 24 panel. We figured we might as well go for that, then stay for the next.

So I admit, I still have to catch up on Prison Break season 3… but after getting to see the premiere episode for season 4, I must say… I have my faith and curiosities for this show back! I would write more… but I don’t want to spoil anything for everyone.

Before we had started to wait in line for those panels, we had spent a lot of time in the exhibit hall. My friend Spider (of Powerman 5000, who was out in San Diego as a correspondant for FEARNET.com) had texted me at some point, trying to get me to be on camera. I avoided that offer like the plague, haha.

I made sure to stop by the CBLDF (Comic Book Legal Defense Fund) booth to pick up a copy of Neil Gaiman’s Snow Glass Apples that also came with a bottle of perfume inspired by the story. I also picked up some artwork, as well as a little plushie from the Emily booth… and did a great job of not blowing the rest of my money on Tokidoki and kidrobot.

(Somewhere in all of my wandering, I came across quite possibly the best dressed Joker I’ve seen).

Also in my wandering, I stopped by to check out one of the current highly-anticipated videogames, Ghostbusters:

After the exhibit hall closed (and after I was done with panels for the day), I quickly met up with an old college buddy, Kevin, who I haven’t seen in four years. Then it was time to return to the hotel for a fancy dinner and wait on Spider to finish his dinner with FEARNET.

Later on in the night, as soon as Spider was done with his dinner, we met up and ended up at the [Adult Swim] party… which David Banner was performing at. How odd. When I think Adult Swim/Cartoon Network, I don’t really think Hip-Hop, haha. Seth Green did a little bit of goofy dancing halfway through the set. It was a pretty strange part of my night, but I still had a good time catching up with Spider, who I haven’t seen since I was on tour with his band a couple years ago.

Also, I got a free toy from kidrobot… and who argues with free stuff?

After the party, I ended up at some random bar with Kevin, his friend, and my roommate up until it was time to call it a night.

(By the way… This is how small our hotel room was… and we managed to fit six people in it, too. The three girls on the king-sized bed; and the three guys on the floor).
