First of all, whoever had one of my phone numbers before me, I would just like to say that I hope I never meet you. I might smack you across the face.
Whoever this was apparently owes a lot of companies a lot of money to the point where they keep calling ME, trying to collect debt.
Now, I have had this problem before. I usually end up having my lawyer make the final call.
This week, yet another “debt collection agency” has been harassing me continuously, even after I, again, have requested numerous times to take my number off of the list because I am not the person they are looking for nor do I know her.
They called me again early this afternoon. You bet I was livid! When I called them back to go off on them again and inform them that this is harassment, the guy actually hung up on me mid-lecture!
I just sent them a cease and desist request, as well as contacted my lawyer AND the FTC. Have fun with that one.
A part of me hopes they are stupid enough to try to harass me again…. because now that I have put in all of the formal legal requests and complaints, I can go after them for $25,000. Ha!
