Yeaaaah… there’s definitely no real “theme” to this one at all, haha:
1 ) Five Finger Death Punch - “Never Enough” – www.myspace.com/ffdp
One of my favorite songs from some of my favorite boys.
2 ) Spineshank - “Born Conform Repent (demo)” – www.myspace.com/spineshank
New demo from the recently reunited rock band. Welcome back, boys!
3 ) Rikets – “Sold Me Out” – www.myspace.com/rikets
Representin’ metal in the Midwest.
4 ) Sick Puppies – “All The Same” – www.myspace.com/sickpuppies
Okay, I admit, during the first few days when we were on tour together last year, I wasn’t entirely sure what to make of these guys (and lovely gal!)… but the more the tour went on, and the more I actually sat down, listened, and watched… I grew to dig ‘em– and they never fail to tear shit up.
5 ) Godhead – “Trapped In Your Lies” – www.myspace.com/godhead
Not a new song… but one of my favorites from the last album. Speaking of albums, their new one comes out in just a few days!!!
6 ) Modern Day Escape – “Hidden Behind The Lines” – www.myspace.com/moderndayescape
I “came across” these guys via good ol’ MySpace, of course. One of the many bands who had added me, but I never really looked into… until they messaged me one day, begging to help them find a ride because their van had broken down somewhere between Hollywood and Orange County, haha. So out of curiosity, I ended up taking a listen… and ya know, not bad. Not bad at all.
7 ) Davey Suicide/Havok In Hollywood - “The Plague Of Popularity” – www.myspace.com/havokinhollywood
Ahhh, good ol’ Davey Suicide… one of my favorite people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing… plus he’s my neighbor, which just makes everything a lot more rad. Anyway. Since he’s moved to L.A., he’s been working on a new band and new material… which obviously isn’t up yet… buuuut here’s some of his old material. Keep an eye on this boy… he’s already got a lot going for him as is… and he’s just getting started.
8 ) Brookroyal – “Save Today” – www.myspace.com/brookroyal
Jack and Kyle not only ended up being good friends, but came from one of the only local St. Louis bands I’d actually bother to see when I lived around here. Here’s their current band, and I’m quite proud of ‘em.
9 ) G Tom Mac – “Cry Little Sister” – www.myspace.com/gtommac
Hello my all-time favorite, legendary song.
…And now… are you ready for this next turn? This is the part all of you sit back and think, “Uh… where the fuck did THAT come from??”
10 ) T.I. – “Whatever You Like” – www.myspace.com/trapmuzik
What? So I like my catchy, poppy, hip hop, too.
