Greetings from Vegas!

Greetings!

Sorry for kind of slacking on blogging lately…

The Mushroomhead show in Sauget, IL last Wednesday (Oct. 22) was great. Strangely smaller crowd than usual, but still a good show. I forgot how much I actually love them, especially live. Plus it’s always good to catch up with old friends you haven’t seen in a good two or three years. Weird how time flies.

The following night was the Jeffree Star show in St. Louis, MO. I, of course, stuck around to spend the day and night with my friends. I realize I could have just waited until we all got back home… but what’s the fun in that? Besides, I was in the area.

Directly after the show (and after a little time to let him finish signing and hang out for a bit, grab a copy of the upcoming EP, say my goodbyes, etc.), Mama Dope and I left around midnight and started heading for the open road… for an all night drive towards the West.

This is what I look like about 10 hours later, tired, grumpy, in need of coffee, and realizing that we are still in the middle of nowhere… and nowhere near our final destination:

And about another three hours later, you start to get really bored… and while stuck behind a really slow truck, you start to find faces in everything. This guy’s got a mustache and hairflip and everything:

Finally, another few hours later, we arrived in Albuquerque, New Mexico where we decided to stop instead of Flagstaff. We ended up with a small, free suite. Thank youuuu, Route 66 Casino!

The next morning, we woke up and hit the road for another four to five hours of driving to Vegas… and checked into another free suite, compliments of the Venetian!

There’s a flatscreen in the bathroom…

Oh, and one of the counter tops lights up:

Our view…

After we got settled in, we went out for dinner at SushiSamba, where I stuffed my face full of raw fish, a delicious watermelon/raspberry/guava infused rum drink called “Samba Juice,” and this very dangerous “Chocolate Duo” dessert:

Yesterday was a very lazy day. My mother and her cousin went to San Diego to go visit some other relatives… meaning I had the suite all to myself. Since my Vegas friends are either on tour or were busy yesterday, I just enjoyed the laziness– which included movies, an orange bath-salt bath and shower… and room service!

Love it.

Today I was going to go grab some drinks with a couple of friends… but my friend Eric was feeling lazy and not in a drinking mood… and then I ended up starting to feel under the weather, so the rest of my plans for the night have been foiled.

Anyway, time for me to sleep this grogginess off so I’m in tip top shape
