My mother sent this picture to me yesterday. Apparently my hometown got hit by a bad ice storm and this is what part of our back porch looks like now. No electricity… they’re talking about shutting off the water… and trees losing limbs everywhere, some of which are hitting our house.
Nothing has gone through our house yet, but I’m thinking it’s going to be a few thousands dollars or so in damages by the time this is over.
Oi vey.
And here I am, complaining about it being slightly chilly in Los Angeles right now.

So I spent the last two days with my good friend Karri, who is set to get married in July. We kicked off our little festivities Monday afternoon and met up with her fiance Ian, his mother, and his sister. We hit up the farmer’s market, and started with stopping by this dog bakery (Three Dog Bakery) for their little guy Lucas:

I’m kind of a fan of the play on the word.
Anyway, we grabbed a delicious French lunch and headed back to Karri and Ian’s for a bit; gave Lucas a pupcake; and headed out to a movie theater with quite possibly the tiniest screen I’ve ever seen:
