…Well, maybe not that massive, but more of a post of compiled subjects for the one who keeps complaining about my multiple posts (which turn into tweets that turn into Facebook status updates) a day. Although, I will say, this “compiling posts into one major post” thing will not last for me. In fact, this may be the only time you will see this from me because, honestly, I personally thoroughly enjoy my multiple posts.
This composition practice may be out of boredom with a slight hint of late night laziness.
Anyway.
I went out to The Derby last night in Los Feliz to support my buddy Tad’s band, Broken Ocean. There was an open bar and I won’t lie to you, I had a couple of drinks to take advantage of it. However, I rarely drink anymore, so needless to say, my tolerance is back to the low levels and two screwdrivers did it for me. Upon my return home, I ended up falling into my comfy bed. I had decided it might better for me to just stay put and doze off instead of standing back up in the now spinning room.
To my surprise, I was wide awake by 6:30 AM and started my day off just as I had planned: walking/jogging routine in the park across the street. An hour later and I was still making good time.
Then it happened.

As soon as I step back into my home, it begins to pour.
Now, let me explain a bit. I am currently still a freelance artist/independent contractor. I work with whomever I want, whenever I want, get paid for it, and love it! Now… One of the main companies I have been working for is a building of rad peeps who, so far, haven’t minded when I am not needed yet still come to invade the offices/studios with my presence, occasional silly pesterings during breaks and inbetween meetings, and then of course, there’s my thieving of the coffee and Trader Joes chocolate-covered raisins that sit in the community kitchen.
I had a plan today to go into the office today and do all of my random blogging and whatnot from there. However, when that plan also includes a 15-minute walk, the plan gets nixed when it’s pouring down rain and there is no paycheck involved for just hanging out in the office doing unrelated DigiSynd/Disney work. (Although, I totally think I should get paid for just bringing my cheery self to the office. Rob, Oliver- think it over, yeah?).
(And by “think it over” I mean “completely agree with me”)
Another part of my day’s plan was to finish my latest painting I have been working on. However, when your art studio is on your porch, the rain is a little discouraging when it is angled and headed for inside your porch instead of staying straight and guided away by the awning. Sure, I could paint indoors… but I prefer to work by natural lighting.
I did, however, have a Plan B.
I cooked myself a decent breakfast and whipped up my steak marinade; threw a couple steaks into bags of the marinade and started the refrigerating process. I took some time to dust and try to finish cleaning… but the cleaning process can easily be interrupted by anything else (aka excuses for procrastination).

For example, I absolutely positively had to check one of my email accounts for the fifth time in a row to see who started to follow my Twitter today– and I must say, I’m glad I did so today (hi Neil!). Then it was time to check my Facebook… and oh look! A Facebook IM from a buddy, asking if I wanted to grab a late lunch and catch up.

I jetted out the door and over to Pit Fire to meet up with my buddy Sina Amedson, one of my comedian friends who just moved here from Utah. (Shameless plug: check him out at www.sinaamedson.com).
After killing a couple of hours of playing catch up, I decided it was time to finally mosey back over to my place and attempt to continue this cleaning process thing…. but what’s this? More Coraline stuff posted? Better pictures of the special edition Coraline Nike dunks?! Yes, I think so!!

Enter too much time spent oogling here.
The evening rolled around, and it was time to stop by a chat my friend Gerard was having with Corey Haim and fans, then grill those steaks for me and a friend…. Then what’s this? New episode of “America’s Best Dance Crew?”
Enter too much time spent routing for Quest Crew here.
Now here I am, catching up on other blogs and lazing about in bed, listening to a list of Massive Attack, Muse, Placebo, and Interpol songs. As you can see, I didn’t get any work done today.
That’s what tomorrow is for.
On that note, I shall close with a picture from the summer of 2006 that I completely forgot Sina put on his MySpace:

I will also close out with a new Coraline trailer!
