So… Anyone remember when I said I was starting to feel better? Apparently it bit me in the ass and I’ve been sick again at full force. I don’t even think I’d wish this plague on my enemies.
Anyway, even through sickness and pain, here I am, attempting to get work done, some of which should have been done weeks ago before I felt ill.
While I wait on approvals, I figured I’d blog a bit to make up for the past couple of days.
** In case it slipped your mind, you only have a week left to see Coraline 3D before the 3D theaters turn over to the Jonas Brothers! As I’ve stated before, although Coraline is pleasant either way, the 3D version is a whole new experience and definitely worth viewing at least once while you can! Put it this way… my friend Taylor had no desire to see the film in any way, shape, or form, no matter how much I raved on about it [that he passed on as a bias for me being a big Gaiman fan]… or how many times mutual friends [who weren't big Gaiman fans or didn't know who he even was] were raving about it… So what did I do? I offered to pay for his ticket. Who can say no to a free ticket? AND NOW HE’S SO GLAD I MADE HIM SEE IT. I win!
** Speaking of Jonas Brothers, my buddy Danny is out on the east coast right now. Apparently he had a drunken karaoke night with the Jonas Brothers drummer. Click here to view a video of them covering Guns ‘N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle.”
** While on topic of silly things, my buddy Daniel sent me this Josh Freese album promotion list, and now I can’t stop laughing.
** For those in San Diego, CA… March 6th, my friend Gerard McMann/G Tom Mac will be there for a Lost Boys reunion with film cast members Corey Haim, Brooke McCarter, Jamison Newlander, and Chance Corbitt. They will be doing an in-store signing and Q&A session at M-Theory Music Mission Hills from 2 to 4 PM. Afterwards, catch them at the Brick By Brick!
** Speaking of San Diego… I will, once again, be at this summer’s Comic-Con from July 21st/22nd until the 26th! Although I will be wandering all over the place like last year, you have better chances of catching me at the War Machine booth.
** Go check out Miss E’s blog. She just posted some Q&A that some of you might find interesting, and she posted some great insight into the music business a while ago… (For those who are not familiar with my friend Elissa, she used to work at some great, big-name recording studios, and is currently working as a tour manager for Jeffree Star).
** Speaking of music business stuff… A lot of you might have learned by now that a couple years ago, I contributed to a book called Tour:Smart, mainly put together by mastermind and great musician Martin Atkins. He is currently on tour with this book, holding seminars and such. Check for dates here!
** Still on topic of music related things, if you are in NYC this weekend (ahem, Danny)… go check out my buddy Rami Dearest!
** Check out my friend Beth’s blog (Wicked Affair) for some rad artsy things. She just posted this awesome jacket that I am now in love with.
And with all of that being said, I think I have given enough links for all of you for the day, yeah?
