So usually I just post cool, silly, random things I find. Sometimes I’ll post political rants. But it’s been a while since I’ve actually sat down and taken time to let you guys know what I’m up to.
A lot of you know by now that my grandmother recently passed. I want to thank all of you who sent me well wishes via MySpace, email, IM, text, calls, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Even though I might not have responded directly to you all, I really do appreciate it. It’s been a little tough on me, to say the least.
On to brighter things… it seems I have all sorts of things on my plate when it comes to work. Then again, when do I not have something up my sleeve, right?
In case you have been living under a rock for the a little over a year now, although I am still freelance, I have been spending about 98% of my time working for this really rad company called DigiSynd. We are a subsidiary of Walt Disney nowadays. I’ve been quite proud of working here, and honestly, this is probably the only “corporate” gig I’ve ever had so far that I’ve fully enjoyed. Besides, how can you not love a job when you have a “life size” gremlin sitting in the office?!
Instead of going on and on about what we do, you can visit the website this is now fully functional and live with all the details you could want! By the way, any services some of you may want from this company, including the use of our two very lovely stages (hint, hint, BANDS)… can NOT be worked out through me. You will find the proper contact information on the website.
See the “scary guy” to the left? He’s actually not scary at all (…or was I supposed to leak that out to the world? If I just ruined your rep, I’m sorry, buddy!). His name is Blasko. For those who aren’t familiar with him, he’s a musician extraordinaire. He currently plays for Ozzy Osbourne and has previously played for artists such as Rob Zombie and Danzig. As a little side gig, he recently asked me to redesign his MySpace, which you can currently view here. It’s nothing super fancy like mine, but still creative, simple, and clean. He has also started blogging at blasko666.wordpress.com.
As of today (er… I guess I should say yesterday), I picked up another gig for my plate that I will reveal in due time. I’m pretty excited about it, though…
Starting Monday, I will be sent ideas and some assets to start helping out an upcoming anti-dog fighting organization. Again, details will be revealed in due time…
Another thing I’m really excited to get start brainstorming for is ANOTHER BOOK! For those who missed it, a couple years ago I contributed to this beautiful piece called TOUR:SMART. All sorts of fans and critics referred to it as “The Bible of the Road.” It was sold in Barnes & Noble stores, as well as a variety of web stores, all over the world.
Well I can’t give details out right now, but Martin is writing another book and has, yet again, asked me to contribute! I am quite flattered, nervous, and excited all at the same time.
For those in San Diego, CA, I will be there (again) for this year’s Comic-Con (July 22 – 26)! I will be there for the entire time this year, including preview night! Although I plan to be all over the place (again) and perhaps do some panel hopping (…again…)… you can also find me helping my buddy Ro out at the War Machine Marketing booth. So come say hello!
Oh and I posted some new shots from Hawaii on deviantART account. You can also find some of my prints and merchandise there.
That’s about it for now. I need to get back to finishing off business emails and finishing some designs for KarriXLin’s wedding!
Also, real quick… if you are in Orange County/Fullerton, CA this weekend, please go support my buddies in MELOTIA. They play on the 4th at Slide Bar. They’re a wonderful band and you will thank me later.
If you are in Hollywood, CA for the 4th, please come out to the Bondage Ball at the Henry Fonda and support my “brothers” in Godhead! You can come visit me at their merch booth.
See you soon…
