What an INCREDIBLE day!

Alicia and I started our day off with shark diving in the morning with Hawaii Shark Encounters. You know, the build-up is really the only scary part of it all. You spend so much time making yourself nervous… and then you get out there, and realize everything is just fine. Alicia and I even agreed to go with Group 1 and jump right in the cage with no problems at all… and yes, we caught some video footage of the sharks with our Flip cams that I will share with everyone later when I have more time to sort through footage.

Afterwards, we grabbed lunch and then decided to stop by the Dole Plantation. Everyone always complains about what a bummout the train ride is, so we chose to skip that part and head straight inside for Dole Whips. They were delicious, but larger than my head. Although, I will say that I was pretty proud of myself that I managed to finish half of it. See the picture below for reference:

After killing some time at the Plantation, it was time to head out to the Waimea Beach. We decided that after contemplating it for a year, we still cannot do the jump off the big rock. Too many people were coming way too close to hitting the bottom of it that we just don’t want to risk it yet. Instead, we headed out into the water… and, of course, the one time we don’t bring the Flip cams in with us, a giant sea turtle swims by and under us!

We’re back at the villa now after grabbing some dinner, taking a moment to relax before our nightly swim in the pool and hot tub. Tomorrow, raiding temples!
