R.I.P. Paul Gray

My heart broke today.

In 1995, Nu-metal band Slipknot got its footing in the Des Moines, Iowa area. Fifteen years later, it sadly has lost its bassist in the same metro area.
The AP reports that Paul Gray was found dead on Monday in an Urbandale, Iowa hotel. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, and the Des Moines Register is reporting that there is no evidence of foul play.
Entertainment Weekly confirmed Gray’s death with the band’s publicist, who could not offer any further details beyond the passing itself.
