Zelda game and Epic Mickey. These two games are pretty much the only reason I even want a Wii. Fortunately, instead of going out to buy a console just to play two games, I can always take over Elissa's.
Speaking of Epic Mickey, for those who weren't at this year's convention or somehow missed it, we had this amazing painter David Garibaldi perform onstage for the game.
One of the random things I came across while I was shuffling around were these egg chair... things. They have speakers built inside them and a flatscreen TV attached. I believe I overheard that the price was $3,100. Now... why on earth would someone pay that much for this... thing...? Plus, am I the only one who is curious on how bad this would be for your eyesight? And what happens if you have friends over and want to watch a movie together?
Anyway.

E3 2010 is one of those times of year that I am allowed to completely geek out on things without anyone looking at me strangely (San Diego Comic-Con would be the other one). This year’s E3 seemed to be all about motion controllers and, surprise surprise, 3D. I steered clear of the Playstation Move, but did manage to check out the Nintendo 3DS and Microsoft’s Kinect.
I still remain on the fence about Kinect. I noticed there were still a few bugs with the system, and at the end of the day, although I can see the dancing game being pretty successful on it… I can’t see it doing well for anything else. Maybe it’s just me, but I need some tangibility for racing games or if I’m going to be slashing away at an enemy. Thin air, for the most part, just isn’t going to do it for me.
The 3DS looked pretty sweet. Although I didn’t have time to actually play games on it (unless I was willing to skip out on doing my job and kill my entire day waiting in that ridiculous line), from what I was shown, it looks rather promising. AND the best part is YOU DON’T NEED THE GLASSES. 3D TVs of the world, get on that, stat!
As I was running around, I noticed some other, smaller named motion system that was similar to Kinect… but obviously I didn’t feel the need to stop by and check it out.
Nintendo, aside from the 3DS, also had two other major things that appealed to me: the new Zelda game and Epic Mickey. These two games are pretty much the only reason I even want a Wii. Fortunately, instead of going out to buy a console just to play two games, I can always take over Elissa’s.

I’m sure I’m forgetting some other things I managed to scope out inbetween work-related things, so for that, I apologize.
