Farewell Disney, Hello Machinima!
My time with the Mouse has come to an end (for now).
In case you have miraculously been living under a huge rock for the past two years and nine months, I have been working for DigiSynd, Disney’s social media group. I’ve had a great time here with some incredible opportunities and learning experiences that I will never forget, but it’s my time to go and try to further myself with another exciting challenge.
Tomorrow (Thursday, December 9th), is my last day. From there, I will be joining forces with Machinima (a videogame entertainment network) as their new Content and Community Manager of Social Media. Although I cannot yet publicly discuss our plans, I will say that there is going to be a lot of pressure on my team– pressure that I am ready to take head-on for the new year.
That being said, I wanted to thank everyone who has been showing me support since I put in my resignation last week. Thank you to my friends, thank you to my family, thank you to current coworkers and execs, thank you to future ones, thank you to the other Disney divisions that have given their full support, thank you to all of my press outlets, and thank you to those who have always supported me no matter what industry I’ve traveled to. Thank you.
