Sappy Moments in Hawaii – May 2009
Yeahhhh, I know, I know. It took me forever to get this up, but ya know, I’ve been a busy gal, haha. Anyway, here’s the video:
Here’s some more random video footage from May 2009’s Hawaii trip smushed into 10 minutes (and 29 seconds).
Alicia, Elissa, Karri, and myself went out there for a week to celebrate my birthday and just get away from a lot of the craziness we were all dealing with. Coincidentally, our friends Phily and Alex were out there at the same time, as well.
Like a lot of the other Hawaii vids, there are a lot of inside jokes that nobody else is going to get…. so you’re basically watching another video of us being goofs. But hey, if you’re a LOST fan, there’s some site footage in there for ya.
Oh, and sappy moments.

A Look Back at 2009:
So for those who have known me for years, or for those who have been following me since January, you might remember that I had a Hellish start to 2009. From all of the deaths that I have personally had to deal with, to all of the times I’ve gotten ridiculously sick, to that time that I almost ended up hospitalized, to a handful of other things that just aren’t really worth mentioning anymore… Let’s just say that the first half of this year has by far been the worst I’ve ever had yet.
Fortunately, it was times like these that I was reminded how lucky I really am. It was times like these that I am reminded how lucky I am to have the amazing friends that I do who did an amazing job being there for me and helping to push me back up on my feet when I fell. I had them to remind me that I’ve never been the type of person to just “give up” because things were getting rocky time and time again.
So I pushed forward, no matter what tried to get in my way… and it seemed to pay off in the end. Instead [...]

Grillin’ on our Relax Day:
Here’s another video from my Hawaii trip back in May:
May 2009 in Hawaii. After a brutal hike through Waimea the day before, we decided to take a day off and just grill and relax.

Here is a video from last May when some of my girls and I went to Hawaii for my birthday. In this one, we spent my birthday hiking for hours…
For my 26th birthday, the girls and I decided to take a very, very long hike through Waimea. – WARNING: This video is full of a whole bunch of inside jokes that you probably won’t get.

I know I’m a bit early on this, but…
…it already has me excited.
“It” being Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. There is one in both Los Angeles and Orlando. Karri, her hubby, Elissa, and I all went together a couple of years ago on the actual holiday and had a blast! That year, that had something that catered to each of our (well, the girls anyway) fears: a Freddy Krueger maze for Karri, a Jason Vorhees maze for Elissa, and a Leatherface maze for me.
Of course, Elissa decided to make it a point to send every dude with a chainsaw after me that night: “Pssst… go get my friend! She’s terrified of chainsaws!”
We weren’t able to make it last year, but Karri and I have mentioned a few times to each other this year that we must make our return. This year’s roster is lookin’ pretty sweet, too.
The mazes this year include Saw, Halloween, My Bloody Valentine, and Chucky. From what I have read about the Saw maze, apparently as you go through, you are actually triggering parts of the infamous traps, which should be interesting to see…. especially the reverse bear trap. I hope there’s a lot of fake blood squirting everywhere for that one. Although My [...]
Swimming through Waimea Falls:
I decided to take a little time this morning to upload a video from my Hawaii trip in May.
As some of you know, I went out there with Elissa, Alicia, and Karri for my birthday, and a little pre-bachelorette trip for Karri… and well, we all just needed to relax anyway. On my birthday, instead of partying like I do every year, we did something else. We spent a few hours hiking.
That might night sound like fun to most people, but I can’t even begin to describe how incredible this all felt… and at the end of it, was this:
On my 26th birthday (May 9, 2009), not only were Alicia, Elissa, Karri, and myself in Hawaii, but we spent a few hours hiking through Waimea Park and ended up swimming through Waimea Falls (aka “the waterfall from LOST”).
Once Karri got tired, she got out earlier than the rest of us and capture this little clip of us. It was a pretty incredible experience…
Ladies and gentlemen, I have found Elissa and her lifemate!
hahahahahahaha
(For those who don’t get it, basically my friend Elissa always refers to herself as an otter.)

So I finally had some time to upload another video from Hawaii last month…
This was shot our first early morning on the island. Karri and I woke up ridiculously early (while Alicia and Elissa slept in) to catch the end of the sunrise, take a walk, and grab some breakfast and coffee. We decided to do a little video blog while we were at it.
The Last Days of Judas Iscariot
Let’s take a little trip down Memory Lane, shall we?
Some of you may remember that a couple years ago, before I lived with Angie GoGo, I lived with someone I loved to refer to as “my crazy spooky roommate.”
Eric “Dravin.” He was going to school for Theatre and was quite the busy boy. When he moved out, he only became busier and busier.. and I saw very little of him because both of our schedules were always conflicting. Since then, he started going by the name of Eric Connelly and went for a more “normal” look to begin his acting career:
Last night, I went with Elissa to go see him in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles:
THE ODDS, the Odyssey’s Student Outreach program and Los Angeles City College Theatre Department present Judas Iscariot for a two week run starting May 14th. JUDAS asks tough questions. And the answers aren’t always pleasant. Yet the play is never less than riveting, thanks to the nearly two dozen dynamic characters, among them a gum-smacking saint, radical apostle, cigarette-addicted angel and a fisher of men who misses being out on his boat.
JUDAS is a restlessly smart [...]
