In 2009, Philip Debevoise invited me Machinima’s first annual Inside Gaming Awards. I was invited as a client/business partner (Disney) and brought along two of my friends who I knew wanted new jobs: Elissa and Ricky… who would both eventually end up hired into the company.

In 2010, I attended the second annual Inside Gaming Awards as a new recruit. They happened the night after my final day at Disney and I was toasting with Philip on a new beginning.

Now here we are at 2011 with the third annual Inside Gaming Awards. Originally, I was going to be attending as a full-on employee… but I will also actually be toasting my departure from the company.

As some of you might have heard through the grapevine, I recently turned in my resignation for Machinima.com. My last day is next Friday, the 16th… and I will be ringing in the new year by starting a new adventure with some old friends/colleagues at a social media/creative company called theAudience working with some phenomenal clients that I used to only dream of working with when I was younger.

Oh yeah… and, with theAudience, I’m returning to music.

Thank you to everyone for their support, and although I expect some fans to discontinue following me because of this, I hope the majority of you will stick around… especially if you’re a fan of a variety of genres of music. Exciting things are coming in 2012…

Also, for those in Chicago, I’ll be with you on December 18th to support my boys in Five Finger Death Punch at the Riviera Theatre. It’s the last date on the “Share the Welt Tour”, so come rock out!

Alicia and I went shark diving again this year. Same captain, same skipper. Since my boyfriend and Elissa came out for a few days, they joined in on the fun.

Anyway, this guy came right up to us… and I kind of wanted to hug him:

This makes me reconsider bringing an underwater camera with me on my oceanic adventures:

while trying to get video of a wild octopus, it suddenly dashes towards me and rips my shiny new camera from out of my hands, then swims off, all while the camera is recording! he swam away very quickly like a naughty shoplifter. after a 5 minute chase, I placed my speargun underneath him and he quickly and curiously grabbed hold of the gun as well, giving me enough time to reach in and grab the camera from out of his mouth. I didn’t feel threatened at all during the whole ordeal. he seemed to be fixated on the shiny metallic blue digital camera. the only confusing behavior was how he dashed off with it like a thief haha. cheeky octopus.
