Rami Dearest sent this to me this morning, swearing up and down that it’s worth the time to watch.
If you’re a sports fan, I’m sure you won’t have a problem getting into it… but when you’re not really into sports (like myself), it starts off a little slow and painful. I will admit, though, it was worth it.
In 15 days, I will be attempting to do this:
If any of you happen to actually be curious why I’ve been on a “I need to get back in shape” kick lately, it’s basically because I want to prepare myself for this:

Sunday night was the night for the closing day X-Games afterparties.
My roommate and I grabbed a friend and headed out to start the night off early at The Standard Downtown for the DC Shoes/Monster Energy rooftop party. I always enjoy rooftop parties there, plus who can argue with an open bar, some free food, and good company?
It was also amusing possibly weirding out a stranger who decided to challenge me to a staring contest in the tiny elevator. (I won, for those who are wondering).
We stuck around for a good couple of hours before heading out to the Rolling Stone party at the Avalon… which… honestly, sucked. We watched a few minutes of the Mike Ness (Social Distortion) band, weren’t [...]
MAXIM’s X-Games party
Last night, my roommate and I met up with a few friends for MAXIM’s X-Games party at The Stork.
(me, Candece, Liz, & Angie)
First of all, I had never heard of this place. Secondly, when I looked up the address, I was confused. The map was showing that it was in Hollywood… where the parking enterance for the Hollywood & Highland mall was. Turns out, it was right next to it. Weird. I’ve never noticed this place before.
It had a cool atmosphere, though… plus they had a screenprint setup where anyone could make their own shirts (with a few selected designs, brought to you by Absolut Vodka)… as well as a few game preview setups, showing off the upcoming Shaun White [...]
Work In Progress.
So this morning as I was waiting for Alicia to wake up, I decided to work on one of my sketches a little more. I added a little more color, and still have a lot more planned to go. You can view the first draft of this in a previous entry, but here’s the second draft:
Not bad for trying to return to drawing after being on hiatus for five years, eh?
I have also added a few other works onto my site that some of you may or may not have already seen:
A few Five Finger Death Punch shots in Photography > Concert.
A new MySpace layout for Tony Hawk‘s current tour in Design > Websites.
A basic MySpace layout for SellOut Marketing [...]
X-Games and Birthdays!
The Summer X-Games have officially begun!
My roommate (Angie), our buddy Alex, and I rolled out to the Oakley/New Era kick-off party tonight at the Key Club– with performance by T-Pain and L’il Jon dj’ing…. and… we stayed for neither, haha. We checked out the party for a bit, whoever dj’d first was phenomenal, got bored, didn’t want to wait any longer for T-Pain, then bailed. I know, I know, but honestly, I’ve had art on my mind all day and I was itching to get back home.
Tomorrow night should be more eventful, though. MAXIM.
Anyway, for those attending X-Games 14, please go watch and support Corey Bohan and Dave Dillewaard for BMX Freestyle!
With that being said, [...]
