I always enjoy these types of things. It helps keep me inspired and remind me of what I want to do more of in the future.

My boyfriend showed this to me the other night, prefacing it with “You’re gonna LOVE this”… and boy was he right.

As long as anyone can remember, the coming of The Undertaker has meant the coming of death. Until one day the grim promise fails and tension builds as the God fearing townsfolk of Backwater wait for someone to die.

Earlier tonight I attended the private/VIP opening for the iam8bit art show. If you are unfamiliar with iam8bit, basically, it’s an annual art exhibit of videogame-inspired art… and it’s awesome.

The public opening starts on August 11, 2011 from 7-11pm at 2147 W. Sunset (Los Angeles, CA).

Swatch has teamed up with Kidrobot to create “Kidrobot for Swatch,” a collection of eight Gents, each accompanied by a matching complimentary Dunny!

Artists Gary Baseman, Jeremyville, Frank Kozik, Joe Ledbetter, MAD, Tara McPherson, SSUR, and Tilt have all contributed to the new collection, each with a characteristic design for a Gent and its accompanying 3-inch Dunny.

I feel like I need the pink one for myself (’cause all I can think of is “OM NOM NOM NOM” and we all know how much I love food)… and then, of course, the mustachio for the boyfriend.

These guys will be available September 1, 2011 on http://store.swatch.com. You will also be able to find them in Swatch stores and other points of sale around the globe.

You can either buy the watches separately (the watch and complimentary 3-inch Dunny) or part of a special Kidrobot limited edition (of 300) set. Each of these “Special Sets” consists of the watches in the collection with their limited edition number (001/300, 002/300, etc) and is presented in special packaging to correspond with its Dunny.

Eight of the Dunnys in the limited edition packages are 3 inches high, while Frank Kozik’s mustachio’d white Dunny will also be available with a 20-inch high version!

I stumbled upon these octopus (and Medusa) chandeliers this morning and have decided that the day I get more money and buy a house… is the day I buy these to go with said house:

The chandeliers were made by Adam Wallacavage who, as I discovered by lurking his website for more information, is also a fantastic photographer.

End of the Line, in association with Distillery Productions and Toby Summerskill, have filmed the first 3D Graffiti Time-lapse. Created to document the production of a painted promo for Disney’s Tron: Legacy this is the final 2D edit.

This groundbreaking project was filmed in December 2010 and January 2011, in a warehouse in Shoreditch with the exterior shots taken from the rooftops of East London.

Filmed over 4 days, it shows the execution of a 20-metre mural that was painted on huge canvases for installation on Great Eastern Street.

The time-lapse was created using 2 x Canon 5D MK2 cameras and a specially constructed 3D rig provided by Inition.
