I love The Simpsons (then again, who doesn’t?) and I love Dexter. So imagine how much of a “giddy little schoolgirl” feeling I have right now to know that The Simpsons are spoofing Dexter for this year’s Halloween episode…

Last year, The Walking Dead undoubtedly became one of my new favorite shows. I still haven’t had enough free time to read the comics, but considering I love zombies, I’m almost certain I wouldn’t have the bitter “zOmg this adaptation isn’t exact” taste in my mouth (I usually don’t like doing that with any film adaptation in general anyway).

Anyway, AMC outdid themselves at Comic-Con this year. Last year, they recreated one of the scenes of a guy who shot himself with a shotgun [pictured below].

This year, they recreated the iconic scene of Merle handcuffed on the roof of a building [pictured below].

Right before Comic-Con, they aired a little teaser full of blood and skull bashing that revived everyone’s hunger for more. During Comic-Con, they released a full blown trailer for the upcoming season.

Oh, and they released a whole bunch of new photos:

Aside from news on the show, Telltale Games, who previously couldn’t really tell us (Machinima.com) a thing other than the fact that they were working on a Walking Dead game… were finally able to open up a bit more this time ’round! Good ol’ Kovic grabbed an interview:

Unfortunately, gameplay wasn’t ready to be shown, but they did show us a bunch of killer concept art and one still from the game that still stays true to the concept art. Telltale also informed us that although we will be playing as a new character in the game, we will come across both new and old characters from the series within it. I’m interested on seeing how this turns out.

Yesterday, HBO debuted a new True Blood trailer of what’s in store for the rest of this season. All I can really say is…. holy shit.

Also, as much as I find the witches annoying, I’ll take witches over fairy land any day.

It was announced yesterday during Comic-Con that Freddy Krueger would be the newest DLC character for the Mortal Kombat game! The horror fan in me is screaming like a little kid in a candy shop right about now.

Twihards have been lining up since late Monday/early Tuesday for Thursday’s Breaking Dawn panel. Yes, you read that right. That wasn’t a typo. Fans of the saga have been camping out in the hot summer sun for that long… and someone took some video of it:

Regardless of my personal opinions on waiting in line for that long for anything, a part of me has to give it to ‘em for being that diehard about something.

Comic-Con is notorious for holding advanced screenings for upcoming movies and TV shows. This year, it seems the big one is Marvel’s Captain America.

The movie will be airing all day starting at 12 Noon this Thursday, July 21st, which is one day before it hits theaters worldwide. Captain American will be playing exclusively at the UA Horton Plaza. Tickets are available via Fandango.com. The show times available are as follows: 12:00 P.M., 12:45 P.M., 2:45 P.M., 3:30 P.M., 5:30 P.M., 6:15 P.M., 8:15 P.M., 9:00 P.M., 11:00 P.M. and 11:45 P.M.

Ticketholders will also receive RealD® 3D Collector’s Custom red, white and blue Captain America: The First Avenger glasses and a limited edition poster designed for fans. There will also be a “grand prize package” of Captain America merch and other Marvel items that will be given away to a random audience member at each and every screening.

According to the press release, USO-costumed women will also be standing at the American Flag Pole in the Horton Plaza passing out free tickets every hour beginning at 11:00 A.M. to the first 10 people who come dressed as Captain America.

Aside from all of that, there will also be an exclusive free fan screening hosted by Paramount and Marvel at 10am with Chris Evans introducing the screening. The press release didn’t really say HOW one gets into that one, but I would assume you just kind of show up, wait, and hope you get in.
