So one of my favorite photographers is hosting a photography event in Los Angeles this Saturday (November 14, 2009) that includes his own work, as well as the work of other amazing artists. If you are in town, I highly suggest you come out for this night to remember!

Welcome to Figurative Theatre. A group art exhibit, that brings forth images from some of today’s top photo talents. Our diverse group of photographers credits cover many aspects of the modern photo industry.

Last night, G Tom Mac (Gerard McMann) and a few of the Lost Boys went on Random Talk Radio. Unfortunately, I missed it from being caught up in work and halfway dying of the plague. When I got home last night, G texted me and let me know that he gave me a little shout out, and I found the clip online.

So it was recently announced that Warner has given the go-ahead on the creation of Lost Boys 3…. and in the words of my buddy G:
“For those wondering, Dario Piana will direct the new “Lost Boys 3 – The Thirst” written by Evan Charnov…. And of course it’s made to go straight to DVD again. Check please!”
…Sigh. After the flop of the second movie, why couldn’t they just leave it alone?
While I am on this sort of topic, I would just like to state, again, how pissed I am that they’re trying to remake The Crow. Allow me to summarize things for you:

The Crow – Awesome classic with a great soundtrack, as well as great score.

Friday I started my weekend with the first day of Vampire-Con at the New Beverly Cinema. My dear friend G (aka G Tom Mac/Gerard McMann) invited me out with him for The Lost Boys part of it. Considering I grew up loving that flick, and the fact that he and I haven’t seen each other in who knows how long because both of our schedules have become so ridiculously jam-packed, of course I accepted the invite.

I met up with him, Paolo Cascio (who shot G’s recent video of “Cry Little Sister (True Blood version)”), and eventually Billy Wirth (who played Dwayne, one of the Lost Boys in the cult classic). Q&A with G and Billy, then on to the premiere [...]

So tomorrow (Friday, August 14, 2009) is the first night of Vampire-Con’s Vampire Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA. Beginning at 9:30 PM will be a Q&A with some of the cast of The Lost Boys (as well as my dear friend G Tom Mac/Gerard McMann, original singer/songwriter for the theme song, “Cry Little Sister”), a screening of the original flick, as well as the video premiere of G’s recent True Blood version of “Cry Little Sister!”
I might be crawling out of my cave tomorrow for this… but regardless, it’s something worth checking out!

A lot of you already know the song (as you should!) without any sort of explanation. However, if you have been living under a rock since the 80s, “Cry Little Sister” was the theme song written by Gerard McMann [or G Tom Mac] for cult classic The Lost Boys. Since then, a handful of rock bands have covered it and G had released a variety of different remixes for all sorts of movies and shows.
Anyway, he has been working hard on yet another version, True Blood style… and just posted a little photo from it today!

So G is mostly known for writing the original version of “Cry Little Sister,” the theme song from the cult classic, The Lost Boys. What some people [still] don’t know is that he actually writes a lot of great music for all kinds of other movies and TV shows.
