Okay, I usually have a big chunk o’ coal where my heart is supposed to be, but god damn if this didn’t make me a bit sappy and think “AWWWWWW.”

Comic-Con is notorious for holding advanced screenings for upcoming movies and TV shows. This year, it seems the big one is Marvel’s Captain America.

The movie will be airing all day starting at 12 Noon this Thursday, July 21st, which is one day before it hits theaters worldwide. Captain American will be playing exclusively at the UA Horton Plaza. Tickets are available via Fandango.com. The show times available are as follows: 12:00 P.M., 12:45 P.M., 2:45 P.M., 3:30 P.M., 5:30 P.M., 6:15 P.M., 8:15 P.M., 9:00 P.M., 11:00 P.M. and 11:45 P.M.

Ticketholders will also receive RealD® 3D Collector’s Custom red, white and blue Captain America: The First Avenger glasses and a limited edition poster designed for fans. There will also be a “grand prize package” of Captain America merch and other Marvel items that will be given away to a random audience member at each and every screening.

According to the press release, USO-costumed women will also be standing at the American Flag Pole in the Horton Plaza passing out free tickets every hour beginning at 11:00 A.M. to the first 10 people who come dressed as Captain America.

Aside from all of that, there will also be an exclusive free fan screening hosted by Paramount and Marvel at 10am with Chris Evans introducing the screening. The press release didn’t really say HOW one gets into that one, but I would assume you just kind of show up, wait, and hope you get in.

End of the Line, in association with Distillery Productions and Toby Summerskill, have filmed the first 3D Graffiti Time-lapse. Created to document the production of a painted promo for Disney’s Tron: Legacy this is the final 2D edit.

This groundbreaking project was filmed in December 2010 and January 2011, in a warehouse in Shoreditch with the exterior shots taken from the rooftops of East London.

Filmed over 4 days, it shows the execution of a 20-metre mural that was painted on huge canvases for installation on Great Eastern Street.

The time-lapse was created using 2 x Canon 5D MK2 cameras and a specially constructed 3D rig provided by Inition.

As some of you know, before Machinima, I spent three years at DigiSynd (The Walt Disney Company). A good chunk of my time there was spent working hard with a handful of other talented folks on quite a successful social and viral marketing campaign for Toy Story 3. It’s definitely one of my top favorite efforts I’ve ever worked on in my life thus far.

I’ve always been a fan of the PotC movies. Unfortunately, it seems that most of my friends stopped loving them after the second. So… Who wants to go see this with me?

Although I always find them a little too easy for my tastes, I do still enjoy Lego games. And being a fan of the PotC franchise, I’ll probably still enjoy this…

…Although, I’m not going to lie. To this day, it still breaks my heart that Armada of the Damned was canceled last year.
