So over the weekend Hutch tipped me off to the AirMusic app that allows you to stream music from your iOS to your Xbox360 (and I do believe it also works for PS3). It’s become my new obsession to blare music while I’m shooting people in the face in Modern Warfare 3.

It’s that time, kiddos! They have started to announce this year’s Comic Con schedule, and this is where I start to become even more excited for the event than I already have been for the past year.

I am still waiting for my confirmed schedule, and as most of you know, obviously you can’t always make it into the panels that you want. However, I will list the ones I am most excited about for Day 1 and hope that I can manage to pull some of these off inbetween taking care of work, as well:

• 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM – Danny Elfman— From Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure to Alice in Wonderland, composer Danny Elfman discusses his 25-year collaboration with director Tim Burton. Their legendary partnership includes such films as Beetle Juice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Joining Mr. Elfman will be Warner Brothers Records executives to announce their plans to celebrate this quarter-century milestone. Room 6BCF

The only thing that stands between him and the annihilation of the entire human race are the infamous vampire-fighting Frog Brothers. Expect some serious bloodsucker butt kicking. One of my all-time favorite songs to listen to is “Cry Little Sister” (the Lost Boys theme song by Gerard McMann/Gerard McMahon/G Tom Mac). When I was little, not only did I watch the movie a gajillion times (and still do), but I listened to this song on repeat so much that my mother is probably still sick of hearing it to this day, haha.

Anyway, with any great classic 80′s song, people who follow will cover it.

Bands… a little piece of advice… if you’re going to cover a classic, the FIRST step you might want to take is TO GET THE LYRICS RIGHT. That’s the very least you can do. PLEASE.

Then, of course, the second would be to make it sound GOOD, whatever twist you may add to it.

It makes me really sad when I hear people butcher this song… to the point where I start listening to the original on repeat for an hour straight to wash away the damage.

The official trailer for the third Lost Boys movie was released a few days ago. Here it is:

The thankless life of a vampire hunter has taken its toll on Edgar Frog. After losing best friend and fellow vamp fighter, Sam, he has started to let himself slide. He’s down to selling his prized comic book collection just to pay rent on a decrepit trailer when stunning vampire novelist Gwen approaches with an offer. She needs him to find her brother who has gone missing after getting sucked into a series of underground raves, called ‘The Gathering,’ held by an enigmatic spinner named DJ Dusk.

In a last, frantic message he mentioned being given a new party drug known as The Thirst, which turned out to be a mixture of ecstasy and vampire blood. Gwen shows Edgar a vile of the The Thirst, explaining DJ Dusk must be a head vampire and he’s using his parties to raise an undead army. With the last rave, ‘The Final Gathering,’ only days away Edgar must assemble a vamp-hunting team worthy of crashing the party, and hopes to include his reclusive brother who’s dealing with his own dark past. Before the battle is over Edgar will discover there is a greater evil at work and must face his most haunting fear.

…Meh. As a huge fan of the original, I’ll still eventually see this, but like I treated the second installment- I’ll be walking into this with low expectations.
